Gleneagles Interceptor Armouring, Metro Vancouver

Description:
Armouring of 30m of exposed and undermined 450mm RCP for
sanitary sewer. This pipe was below the water line at high tide. Work
took place in an intertidal zone considered inhabited by marine fish and
under the jurisdiction of the Federal Fisheries Act. Forming, rebar
installation, sealing and concrete pour with specialty rapid set high
strength Chronolia Concrete all took place at low tide. A barge and work
boat were used for the concrete pour. Final placement of 50kg rip rap
carried out with excavator operated from a barge. |
